Robert Frost writes this poem during winter as it describes a snowy evening. He travels across a little road used by the villagers and arrives at the end. He can see a glassy dark lake and the deep, dark woods ‘between the woods and frozen lake...’ He can’t see village as it is still miles and miles away, nor hear a single thing other than the snow and the wind. The speaker is partially alone. He is reflecting and revising his life for what he has done. It is good to reflect our lives once in a while. Life is always challenging. We need to be like this speaker who prepares himself in his journey exploring what life is.
