Inferno v4.0 WordPress Theme

Inferno v4.0 <– Download

It’s been a while since I posted anything so I decided it was high time I made some updates. Today I am posting a completely reworked version of Inferno. This version was completely rewritten from scratch and is now based on the extremely popular 2011 wordpress theme.

I love to hear feedback so if you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to post them.

Chances

Do not resist chances.

Take them like vitamins.

Let go of the breaks,

see what happens of you go five more miles.
Foot bridges be damned,

find your own way across.

Don’t worry about the bumps and bruises.
our body can take them.

Don’t steer around the bits that scare you

Go over them. Go through them.

Do something the guy in the bowling league
would be terrified of.

You will feel your chin rise up from your chest
and you’ll be able to see what’s around you.

What’s ahead of you

And there will be one less thing you cannot do.

Amazon

This theme is called Amazon. I know its not really all that “jungle” but the color kind of reminded me of an Amazonian rain forest so that’s its name:) Anyway I created the theme to work with a few different CMS systems and as always welcome all feedback. Enjoy.

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound’s the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Inferno Version 1.3

I just finished creating another variation on the inferno theme. After posting v1.1.2 I got a lot of feedback about the white links, most people seem to like the original, which had orange links. So I have changed the links back to orange and also made quite a few other changes.

WordPress Theme: Inferno updated

Thanks for all the positive feedback on Inferno. I made a few changes to it which will hopefully improve the overall look and feel of the theme.

Download: Inferno-mf v1.1.2

Here is a list of what changed:
Removed the white background color that was showing up on every other blog comment.
Set the color of the input field to dark grey to help it blend with the rest of the theme
Changed the link text color to white and the link text hover color to Orange.

Feedback and suggestions are welcome. :)

A Path With a Heart

47_2005-12-b-full_s_w_jpg_s_wAnything is one of a million paths. Therefore you must always keep in mind that a path is only a path.If you feel you should not follow it you must not stay with it under any conditions. To have such clarity you must lead a disciplined life.Only then will you know that any path is only a path and there is no affront to oneself or to others in dropping it,if that is what your heart tells you to do.But your decision to keep on the path or to leave it must be free of fear or ambition.I warn you.Look at every path closely and deliberately.Try it as many times as you think necessary.

This question is one that only a very old man asks.Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same, they lead nowhere. They are paths going through the bush or into the bush.In my own life I could say I have traversed long long paths but I am not anywhere.Ask yourself, does this path have a heart? If it does the path is good,if it doesn’t it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere but one has a heart and the other doesn’t.One makes for a joyful journey and as long as you follow it you are one with it.The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong, the other weakens you.

Before you embark on any path ask the question, does this path have a heart? If the answer is no,you will know it and then you must choose another path. The trouble is that nobody asks the question. And when a man finally realizes that he has taken a path without a heart the path is ready to kill him.At that point very few men can stop to deliberate and leave the path.A path without a heart is never enjoyable. You have to work hard even to take it.On the other hand,a path with heart is easy.It does not make you work at liking it.

I have told you that to choose a path you must be free from fear and ambition. The desire to learn is not ambition. It is our lot as men to want to know.

The path without a heart will turn against men and destroy them.It does not take much to die and to seek death is to seek nothing.

For me there is only traveling on the paths that have a heart. On any path that may have a heart. There I travel, and the only worthwhile challenge for me is to traverse its full length. And there I travel looking, looking, breathlessly!

Too often we are scared.

Too often we are scared.
Scared of what we might not be able to do.
Scared of what people might think if we tried.
We let our fears stand in the way of our hopes.
We say no when we want to say yes.
We sit quietly when we want to scream.
And we shout at others, when we should keep our mouths shut.

Why?

After all, we do only go around once.
There’s really no time to be afraid.

So stop.

Try something you’ve never tried. Risk it.
Enter a triathlon.
Write a letter to the editor. Demand a raise.
Call winners at the toughest court. Throw away your television.
Bicycle across the United States.
Try bobsledding.

Try anything!

Speak out against the designated hitter.
Travel to a country where you don’t speak the language.
Patent something.

Call her.
You have nothing to lose and everything everything everything to gain.
